Don’t Miss The Glow Dance Party and Homecoming!

On a typical weekday, the Big Picture School Café looks like… well, a school café. Bright lights, familiar tables, a place for lunch and conversation.

But on Friday, October 17, that same space will come alive — transformed by blacklights, neon colors, and music pulsing through the air. It’ll be the night our students take over, the night when everyone glows.

Middle schoolers will kick off the evening at 5:30 with their Glow Dance Party, full of laughter, snacks, and singing. Then, as the clock strikes 7:30, the high schoolers step in for their Homecoming Dance, ready to light up the floor.

There’s something magical about this event — maybe it’s the way friends who usually hang out at lunch suddenly find themselves dancing under blue light, or how a shy student becomes the life of the party when their favorite song plays. Maybe it’s that feeling of community, when parents, teachers, and PTSA volunteers all pitch in so our kids can have a night they’ll remember.

If you’ve never been to a Big Picture dance before, this is the one to experience. Whether you’re helping behind the scenes, dropping off a snack donation, or just hearing the stories afterward, you’ll know: it’s not just a dance. It’s a night that reminds us why our small school feels so big.
