5:45 pm: Start with a parent meeting in the cafeteria, school staff will share school information, followed by a presentation from the BP PTSA and Bellevue Schools Foundation. Our Internship Coordinator will provide an overview of the internship process, and our high school counselor will discuss mental health supports and upcoming high school guidance lessons.
6:35 pm: You’ll head off to your child’s advisory. This period is longer than the others because advisors will share grade-level information that is consistent across all teachers for that grade. Our hope is to minimize any redundancy in the classroom presentations later in the evening and to give teachers more time to share curriculum work with you. After the advisory finishes, you’ll move throughout the rest of your child's schedule in ten-minute class periods.
The last period wraps up at 8:40 pm.
NOTES: We are often asked if students should come with parents to Curriculum Night. If your child desires to come with you, they need to remain with you throughout the evening, attending the classroom presentations. This evening is not a social event for the kids, as we do not have the capacity to supervise students who are not in the classrooms with their parents. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
If you have a middle school student who is taking a high school class, high school teachers will only be present at the high school curriculum night. You are welcome to come to both nights if you'd like an opportunity to meet all of your child's teachers or feel free to reach out to the teachers you missed and they'll provide a copy of their presentation.
